Alice Clifford

Before joining On Purpose, Alice worked as a communications consultant for culture and heritage organisations. She has helped launch new and redeveloped attractions across the UK and internationally, including The Auckland Project in County Durham, Leighton House in London, and Zeyrek Çinili Hamam in Istanbul.

Alice is passionate about the role of public art in strengthening communities and fostering connection. She has led campaigns for PROCESSIONS, a nationwide artwork celebrating 100 years of women’s suffrage, and Sanctuary, a Covid-19 memorial that created a shared space for remembrance.

She also previously managed the press strategy for The Bodleian Libraries, putting her BA in English Language and Literature from the University of Oxford, and her love of books, to good use!

In her spare time, Alice enjoys playing tag rugby and practicing ikebana (the Japanese art of flower arranging).
