Change Please

Change Please is an award-winning social enterprise and registered charity tackling homelessness through an employment-first model. Founded in 2015, we use coffee as a catalyst for change: creating training, employment and support opportunities that help people experiencing homelessness rebuild their confidence, stability and independence.

Through the Change Please Foundation, we provide practical barista training alongside tailored wraparound support, recognising that employment alone does not remove the complex barriers people can face. Our programmes combine skills development and real work experience with support around housing, wellbeing, finances, access to services and employability. We then work with a growing network of corporate and employment partners to create pathways into sustainable jobs, apprenticeships, internships and other onward opportunities.

Our impact extends beyond our core barista programme through initiatives including Driving for Change, which uses repurposed London buses to bring essential services directly to people experiencing homelessness.

In 2024/25, 214 people were trained through our barista programmes, trainees completed 11,370 hours of Living Wage employment, and 3,204 guests accessed support through Driving for Change. Our model brings together charitable funding, commercial partnerships and profits from Change Please coffee to create sustainable social impact, using business, skills and employment as powerful tools in the fight against homelessness.
