Charlie Morgan

Charlie joins On Purpose from the advertising industry, where she used storytelling to craft powerful national campaigns for her clients. Prior to this she spent five years managing projects with people, creativity and impact at their core, from grassroots advocacy work to multi-million-pound design projects. Through this work she has developed a diverse skillset, from supporting homeless individuals into stable work in the social enterprise space, to driving industry-leading campaigns that champion underrepresented groups in advertising.

Charlie is passionate about changing the communities around her for the better, which is best exemplified by the advocacy work that underpins her career. Having been diagnosed at age 20 with a genetic mutation that increased her lifetime risk of developing breast cancer to 80%, Charlie created a strong community of support networks and events that has positively impacted thousands of people living with similar prognoses. Through the On Purpose Associate Programme, she is now pursuing purpose-driven work that will draw together her experience in projects and organisations that create meaningful social change.

Charlie is a passionate learner and sparked her curiosity for creative storytelling while gaining an MPhil in History of Art at the University of Cambridge. She is a keen advocate for communication through the arts (spending much of her free time at community arts events), and she is currently learning British Sign Language.
