Copia Energy builds and deploys battery storage systems at critical infrastructure sites, both giving them extended backup power and, by linking these batteries together into a Virtual Power Plant, and earning them revenue through participation in energy trading. Our GridVault batteries, fully equipped with our control system, are already live and operational in three countries.
We aspire to make meaningful impact in two ways. First, we ensure that critical sites have the backup (powered renewably) that ensure that communities don't lose the services they rely on in the event of extreme weather or other interruptions. And secondly, we cut carbon: displacing diesel backup on-site, and adding the flexibility the power grid needs to absorb more renewable power and reduce the use of fossil-fuel powered electricity generation.
