Reboot the Future
Reboot the Future is a not-for-profit and social enterprise, co-founded by Kim Polman on the timeless principle of the Golden Rule: "Treat others, and the planet, as you would wish to be treated", We believe that by embedding this simple, powerful ethic into how we live, lead, and work, we can spark a profound shift in the systems that shape our world.
Our work focuses on engaging individuals, educators, business leaders, and policy influencers with imaginative resources, storytelling, and campaigns that challenge the dominant narratives of separation, competition, and consumption. Instead, we promote a vision of interdependence, kindness, and long-term thinking—values that are essential in the face of the climate crisis and widening social inequalities.
Through our educational programmes, we reach thousands of students and teachers each year, equipping young people with the tools to reflect, question, and act.
Our flagship schools initiative, Rebooting Education, brings climate and values-based learning into classrooms through creative, curriculum-linked resources that spark curiosity and compassion. Educators consistently report that our materials deepen student engagement, foster empathy, and encourage action on global issues.
In the business and leadership sphere, we collaborate with values-aligned partners to encourage ethical leadership and future-conscious decision-making. Our storytelling campaigns—such as Rise Up and 'We Are Antarctica'- amplify diverse voices and visions of hope, helping people reconnect with their sense of agency and possibility.
At the heart of our impact is our ability to shift mindsets. We understand that tackling the climate crisis requires not just technological solutions, but also a cultural transformation in how we relate to one another and to the Earth. Our unique approach weaves together emotional resonance, ethical reflection, and systems thinking to create moments of insight and connection that ripple outward.
Our impact is visible in the teachers who tell us our resources changed how they approach global citizenship; in the young people who feel empowered to lead sustainability initiatives in their communities; and in the professionals who carry our values into their organisations. By fostering these internal shifts, we help build the foundations for external change—toward more equitable, regenerative systems.
Reboot the Future stands for the belief that another future is not only possible, but already emerging—through acts of kindness, bold imagination, and courageous leadership. We exist to nurture this future and to grow the movement of people ready to live by the Golden Rule.
