Richard Cook

Richard is a user-centred service designer whose experience ranges from tech start-ups to third sector funders.

He joins On Purpose after completing a participatory research and development project with The National Lottery Community Fund. There, Richard co-designed the new Young Start funding offer with over 120 different children and young people. This work included him publishing a literature review on ‘What is important to children and young people living in Scotland?’ which integrated the voices of over 40,000 children and young people.

Richard is looking forward to building on this foundation through the On Purpose Associate Programme. He hopes to learn how he can affect systems change to address the world’s pressing social and environmental issues.
