Charlotte Sewell
Charlotte Sewell is a freelance facilitator and advisor focused on accelerating organisational response to the climate and ecological emergency. As strategic advisor to the B Lab Global Climate Task Force, she works to support 1500+ businesses who have committed to reach Net Zero by 2030 and is passionate about working with individuals and teams to share best practice and ground climate action in Climate Justice. She advises Future Planet- a thriving community supporting sustainability professionals, and heads up community engagement for UK21, a forum supporting individuals and movements working on economic systems change in the UK. Before this, Charlotte spent five years at family food business COOK, where she was Head of two departments: Social Impact and Learning Development. As Head of Social Impact, she oversaw COOK’s purpose agenda, driving best practice on sustainability, inclusive recruitment and community engagement. Later she also managed COOK’s ambitious Learning and Development agenda for 1200+ staff across 90 sites - designing and delivering an expansive range of professional skills and personal development training – from running Free Range People Days for teams on a farm in Kent to hosting extensive leadership academies throughout the business. Alongside these roles, she spent two years working on strategy and impact for B Lab UK, the not for profit that supports the B Corp community in the UK. With this team, she helped to launch the B Corp movement in the UK in September 2015 and to shape its development to establish a growing community of B Corps in the UK, which she still supports today. She is passionate about the intersection between employee wellbeing & personal development that helps people thrive, with running and delivering effective sustainability and organisational adaptation strategies. She enjoys designing and facilitating in-person and virtual workshops to help people get their best work done.
