Esmee Fairbairn Foundation

Esmée Fairbesmee Foundation aims to improve the quality of life for people and communities throughout the UK both now and in the future. We do this by funding the charitable work of organisations with the ideas and ability to achieve positive change. The Foundation is one of the largest independent grant-makers in the UK. We make grants of c. £35 million annually towards a wide range of work within the arts, education and learning, the environment and social change. We also operate a £26 million FinanceFund which invests in organisations that aim to deliver both a financial return and a social benefit. In 2014- 2015 our On Purpose Associates will work mainly on impact measurement - planning and managing a reporting project that looks at how we track the outcomes of our grants and social investments against our funding priorities. This new reporting framework will improve the our use of data for strategic learning, and help communicate what has changed and been learned as a result of our funding.
