Fernando Salerno
Fernando is a sustainability advocate with experience in regenerative farming, food systems innovation, and impact investing. He began his career in supply chain and operations at Sanofi and Coca-Cola FEMSA before co-founding Nispero, a B Corp Pending project that transitioned his family farm to regenerative practices and community-focused food systems. He also co-facilitated a side event at the B Corp Summit in Argentina and co-founded the B Corps Movement in Venezuela. His career has followed a non-linear path, allowing him to engage deeply in entrepreneurship and social innovation.
He later led Venecapital, building cross-sector coalitions between investors and tech-based entrepreneurs to strengthen impact ecosystems. A Chevening Scholar with an MA in Food and Development, Fernando is also an alumnus of the YLAI Fellowship and Georgetown University’s Global Competitiveness Leadership (GCL) programme in the USA, where his project was peer-recognized. He volunteers as a mentor for food-system professionals through GCL, most recently supported the Food Equity Centre’s fundraising strategy in the UK. He continues to explore how business can regenerate ecosystems and communities.
