Olivia Halliwell
Olivia has joined On Purpose following 7 years working in the Civil Service, most recently as Chief of Staff to the HR Director at the Department for Business and Trade.
Olivia studied Economics at the University of York before beginning her career at HMRC investigating corporate tax evasion. She then joined the HR Civil Service Fast Stream, where she worked in the Cabinet Office and the Department for Energy and Climate Change, whilst working towards her CIPD qualification.
Alongside her roles, Olivia has been an active member of the Civil Service LGBTQ+ Network, rolling out workshops and campaigning for a more inclusive Civil Service. She spent time volunteering at ARC, an asylum seeker and refugee organisation in her Lancashire hometown, and is currently a volunteer with Friends of the Earth. She enjoys travelling, reading and karaoke with friends.
Olivia is thrilled to be a part of On Purpose and to make the transition from public sector to social sector, where she hopes to have a positive impact on the lives of others.
