Tom Scott
After two years of teaching Maths as part of the Teach First Leadership Programme, Tom established the charity School Ground Sounds, which empowers disadvantaged young people through music and community. Based in Brixton, SGS has worked with over 1,000 young people aged 11-24, offering a range of in-school and industry-related programmes. The charity helps young people to develop their personal, musical and social capabilities. After seven years of running the charity, Tom stepped aside to continue his professional development in the impact sector.
Building on his interest in mental health, Tom has recently qualified as a Life Coach with the Co-Active Training Institute. Tom received a degree in Psychology from Bristol University. He particularly enjoys swimming at the lido, live music and film-making. At Bristol, he co-created a music platform called Bristol Couch which showcased unsigned artists on a red sofa including a young George Ezra.
