“I am passionate and determined to find solutions to social challenges around the world.”
Nadia Laabs
Nadia started her engineering career at Procter & Gamble developing new products and businesses where she had a chance to have several projects focused on Sustainability and the Base of the Pyramid. During her time at P&G, she took on leadership roles with a local non-profit called Give Back Cincinnati, co-founded a start-up called the Night Owl Market, and took a 3-month sabbatical to volunteer at Ikamva Labantu in Cape Town, South Africa, where she first found out about social entrepreneurship. Realizing that her passion lay in this area, she decided to get her MBA at INSEAD and focus on Social Entrepreneurship to understand the business side of this sector. During her time there, she mentored several social enterprises based in South East Asia and found her love in helping other socially minded businesses succeed. She holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin and an MBA from INSEAD.
