“My year with On Purpose has enabled me to engage directly with some of the UK’s most pressing social welfare issues. I have designed strategies to help address these challenges, and have demonstrated my capacity to drive positive organisational and social change”
Sarah Bernier
Prior to On Purpose, Sarah gained significant experience working for the Canadian Department of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development in Canada and Australia, on various initiatives related to international trade and development policy, and trade promotion. These included contributing to the Canada-EU free trade negotiations and fostering development through the private sector in collaboration with the World Bank. Sarah has volunteered extensively, including with the Forum for Young Canadians, a programme that encourages leadership development in young people. Sarah holds a Master’s degree in Development Management from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), and a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Queen’s University, Canada.
