Alexandra Petrache
Alex is a behavioural scientist with a PhD in Neuroscience and cross-sector experience across private, academia, and charity. She set up as an independent behavioural science consultant to contribute to work that changes systems for the better – in her work, she leans on community co-creation, place-based approaches, and critical thinking. She is building the Behavioural Science and me podcast to share behavioural science concepts with general audiences in a simple, no-jargon way.
Some more curious achievements: she ran for local councillor as an independent candidate and secured 5% of the total votes, designed lab equipment during the covid-19 pandemic to reduce costs, designed an eating tool which was selected for a catalogue by the Worshipful Company of Cutlers, wrote a speculative fiction novel, and won second place in a Flash Fiction tournament.
