On Purpose began with a question.
In 2007, our founder, Tom Rippin, saw a need for a new kind of leader: people who could bring together the best of business, social and environmental thinking to tackle the challenges ahead. He thought, what if we could develop leaders who could bridge these worlds?
That question became the On Purpose Associate Programme. Since 2010, we’ve been growing a community of leaders working across sectors and disciplines, helping create the shift towards an economy of purpose.
Our world needs an economy that works for all and operates within the means of our planet, without the injustices of today. This requires a fundamental shift, led by people who transform the organisations in which they work, from an economy of profit to an economy that serves the wellbeing of all, now and for all time.
We are the home for these leaders: a community that develops, challenges and sustains itself and others to help bring about such an economy.
The Associate Programme develops people to become leaders of transformational change. The year-long programme offers paid work placements in top purpose-driven organisations, best-in-class weekly training, regular 1:1 coaching and mentoring, and an invaluable network.
