Josie Lumley
Josie joined the On Purpose core team in March 2022, leading marketing, communications and community. Her specialisms span social media, research-led communications, multi-format content creation, community building, and partnerships - with a particular interest in how storytelling and human connection can drive transformative change.
Before joining On Purpose, Josie worked in local government across children’s and adult care services and volunteered for Curious Earth, where she created accessible content on environmental topics.
Her passion for nature-connectedness and impactful communications is rooted in a deep love for the natural world. She studied Zoology at the University of Leeds and went to study tropical forest biology in Borneo and volunteers as a research assistant in Australia for BirdLife Australia.
Outside of On Purpose, Josie's all about sauntering in green spaces, wild dipping, yoga, surfing, guitar and hosting dinner parties.
