Freya Mohamed

Before joining On Purpose, Freya built over six years of experience across wildlife conservation, environmental sustainability, and social impact, developing a strong track record in Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning (MEL), programme coordination, data analysis, and inclusive facilitation. Her work has consistently focused on strengthening organisational systems, empowering teams, and driving evidence‑based decision‑making. She brings cultural sensitivity, systems thinking, and a collaborative spirit to the workplace, shaped by an international upbringing across Denmark, Belgium and Uganda.

Most recently, Freya served as Programme Coordination Officer at TRAFFIC, where she led the integration of MEL activities across more than ten global projects, aligning them with the organisation’s 2030 Strategy. Prior to this, she worked at the Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) as Senior Peer Review College Officer, managing operations for over 50 independent scientific peer reviews. Freya also worked at Global Action Plan, where she coordinated environmental initiatives, managed stakeholder engagement, and delivered workshops for schools and businesses.

In her spare time, Freya volunteers with WeSwim, facilitating weekly one‑to‑one swimming sessions for disabled adults. She is also a qualified Strength & Conditioning Coach and Swimming Teacher.

Freya holds a BA in Archaeology and Anthropology from UCL, an MSc in Environment, Politics and Development from SOAS, and a Postgraduate Certificate in Ecological Survey Techniques from the University of Oxford.
