Henry Pescod

Prior to joining On Purpose, Henry was a commercial property professional and entrepreneur in the hospitality sector. In the last 10 years he has focussed on socially led property work including the redevelopment of Camden Lock Market and two regeneration schemes in Elephant & Castle and Deptford providing affordable workspaces for local businesses. In 2018 he set up 3 businesses - an eco hotel built out of 26 repurposed shipping containers in Waterloo called Stow-Away, a craft beer and street food venue in Deptford called Little Faith, and an online vintage furniture retailer called AVID. Henry has joined the On Purpose programme on a mission to do more to reduce our impact on the environment and to find the answers as to how we achieve ‘shared value’ whereby social and/or environmental impact is delivered in parallel with financial returns. Outside of work, Henry enjoys sourdough baking, playing sport and making his two young children laugh. He holds a degree in Economics with Environmental Studies from the University of Edinburgh.
