Rebecca Chandler

Rebecca joins On Purpose with eight years of experience in structured and sustainable finance across investment banking, wealth management, and venture capital. At UBS Group, she advised corporates and investors on strategic investment decisions and ESG, originating and executing over US$40bn in bespoke financing transactions. She helped launch the bank’s sustainable capital markets offering, advising clients on green and sustainability-linked products. She also contributed to firm-wide initiatives on sustainability and employee engagement, reflecting her longstanding commitment to using finance as a driver of positive change.

Driven by the belief that capital can be a powerful catalyst for positive impact, Rebecca pursued an MBA at INSEAD, specialising in sustainability and impact investing. Since then, she has been expanding her impact experience with mission-driven ventures, including advising a VC fund on integrating environmental and social factors into investment decisions, and working with the Capitals Coalition to design strategies for scaling natural capital integration into corporate decision-making. She is particularly passionate about closing the climate finance gap and enabling businesses and communities to thrive within planetary boundaries.

Rebecca began her career gaining a BA (Hons) in French and Business Management from King’s College London and working in the fashion industry with global luxury goods and consumer brands, which sparked her interest in regenerative and circular business models. A lifelong learner, she speaks French, Spanish, and Italian, and is currently learning Korean.

Outside of work, Rebecca enjoys spending time in nature, volunteering with wildlife conservation and social impact non-profits, and exploring creativity at art exhibitions.
