Friends of the Earth

Friends of the Earth is the biggest grassroots environmental campaigning community in the world, with 5,000 local activist groups and over two million members and supporters worldwide, across 75 countries. All of them doing incredible things for a healthier, fairer world. The Associate will be working in the Disruptive Innovation team. This team aims to create, build and launch experimental ventures that are in line with the Friends of the Earth’s long-term goal. This team does not take part in traditional campaigning but rather seeks to create demonstrations or pilots of how the world could be different. This compliments our work campaigning on Climate, Nature and Health. The Associate will be a key part of this team helping to develop ideas and run experiments. This could be anything from helping to dramatically transform a London street to increase nature and wildlife to developing the business model for a community owned electric car sharing scheme.
